Warra State School is a small rural school nestled in the heart of prime farming country on the Western Downs. We have a current enrolment of 20 students.
Situated on the banks of Cooranga Creek which historically is the place that Ludwig Leichhardt camped before travelling north in 1874. The campsite is marked with a monument and is maintained by the local progress and heritage society.
Traditionally, Warra has been a farming community but with changing community population and the effects of the drought the school has become a mix of both the farming, and support industry workers.
We hope this website gives you a useful insight into our school and the great work that we do in striving to achieve. |
